How do  you walk?

The Way is Simple.  Walk with Jesus as the center of your life.  He will constantly walk beside you.
He will go to work with you. He will help with small tasks as well as large responsibilities.  Do  you
have difficulties in your walk because you do not take Jesus Christ with you at all times?
I John 1:6-7 says, "If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth; but if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another  and
the blood  of Jesus Christ, HIs Son, cleanses us from all sin."   It is clear, you can not walk with
Jesus Christ and act like the world. What is controlling your walk?  Your old sin nature(self desires)
or IS the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ the control center of your life?   John later said, "Love not the
world, neither the things that are in the world.....the world passes away and the lust thereof; but he
that does the will of God abides forever."  God wills that you walk in the light of Jesus Christ.

Strength for the Christian

Christ's disciples went to town to get meat and Christ rested by Jacob's well.  Along came a woman to draw water from the well.  Christ asked her for a drink of water. He proceeded to talk to her about the
living water available to all  Christians. The result was she accepted His statement that He was the
Messiah and returned to town to tell the other Samaritans. As the Disciples returned with meat they
were amazed that the Savior was already refreshed. What was the food that had refreshed Him?
Christ stated: "My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me."  Obedience is clearly what He was
referring to-the meat on which He fed. Consistently throughout His ministry he stated, "I must be
about My Father's business."  That was the consistent attitude He assumed toward the will of God.
In the prayer he taught us to pray He said, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done."  In Gethsemane
When He was facing Calvary, He said, "Not as I will, but as Thou wilt."  The obedience of Jesus was complete.  He was absolutely committed to the Father's Will.  He had no will but that of the Father.
He revealed here His secret of spiritual power. He showed what any person can experience who is
willing to give complete obedience to the will of God. What is needed today is a body of Christians
who are totally committed to yield completely to divine control. What would happen in this nation, if
all who claim to be Christians, would have the zeal born of deep conviction and enthusiasm to
dedicate themselves to follow Christ in this manner?

Jesus Christ Said in Mark 8:34:  "Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up
his cross and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever shall lose it
for my sake and the Gospel's, the same shall save it."
Have you come to the place that Jesus Christ and your relationship to Him is more important
than what other people think about you?  Those who truly know Christ exhibit  not only an intellectual
assent to belief in Christ, but in their mind and heart we see a commitment to serving others and sharing
the Gospel.  They trust Christ and their heart responds to Christ.  Their will submits to Christ with
obedience in service.  Self will is put aside and we see a new will and purpose evidenced by love
for Christ, love for others, and most important, self concerns are secondary to God's Will in their life.
Have you reordered your life to this level of understanding and commitment to Jesus Christ?

Paul describes the Christian in Galatians 5:22ff:  "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control.....and they that are Christ's have crucified the
flesh with the affections and lust. If we live in the Spirit, let us walk in the Spirit." Does this Scripture
passage truly describe you?  Are these qualities evident in your everyday life?
God wants the light of Jesus Christ to shine from your life daily. Your willingness to be known as
a Christian at work, at play, in business, at school, wherever you are is the first step in being a
personal witness for Christ.  You can know the Bible by memory.  You can recite the plan of salvation
in great flowing terms, but if your life and walk(daily actions) do not show the light of Christ's Spirit,
you can not hope to be an influence to those around you and lead them to know the Lord Jesus.
The most important part of witnessing is that the people your come in contact with on a daily basis
see that your actions speak louder than the words you say.
